2017 Study Days and Retreat Day

Thursday 2nd February 10am-3pm: “The Church and her witness in a world of Darkness” with Rev Charles Gibbs. Drawing upon his extensive knowledge of the Gospel of John, Charlie will be joining us from Norfolk to lead us in this day which considers the need for the Church to be light in a dark world.

Saturday 18th March 10am-3pm: “Engaging with Christian Values in Local Communities” with Methodist Youth President Mr Tim Annan and Mr John Hogarth. Tim will be joining John to lead us in this day which considers the Christian response to issues we are faced with where we live and work. This day will include opportunity for discussion and has provision for young people to attend.

Tuesday 25th April 10.30am -3.30pm Retreat Day: “On Holy Ground” with Rev Ruth Goodland. Ruth will return to Wesley Cottage to lead one of her popular retreat days combining reflective input with time for personal contemplation.

Wesley Day 2017
The 2017 Wesley Day Celebrations will take place on Sunday 21st May 2017

The programme for the day will be as follows:
4pm Wesley Cottage Preach from the Porch.
Preacher: Rev Alastair Bolt (West Penwith Circuit)
Followed by Tea at Altarnun Parish Church Hall
6.30pm Choir will sing at Altarnun Parish Church
7pm Service at Altarnun Parish Church. Preacher: Rev Alastair Bolt
