Skating the Unit at Launceston
Launceston’s first indoor skatepark is now open! The Unit Skatepark has a sweet 7,500 sq foot skating area, plus a Pro Shop selling the latest decks, wheels, trucks, helmets, pads, clothing, backpacks... the lot! We also have a viewing lounge, a parents room and even a toilet or two! Do come down and check us out. Parking is on site and we are just off the A30 for easy access.
You can refresh yourself as you skate the unit with a iced drink from the vending machine or if you are feeling hungry then make sure you check out what snacks we have for sale. If you just need to unwind with a rich coffee than take some time to relax with a nice coffee.
The session times are:
Monday - Friday
3.30pm-9.30pmSaturday
10am-10pmSunday
2pm-6pm
Every Tuesday is Christian Skaters Night at the Unit. You don’t have to be a Christian to attend - it is just an opportunity (whatever your background) to engage with Jesus Christ, who said "I am the way, the truth and the life". The evening starts at 7pm with a short Bible study followed by a skate session ending at 9.30pm - so get along to the bible study and expand your mind, live your life to the full and enjoy - it starts at 7pm and we hope to see you there!
If you want to get a great deal on skating the unit then purchase a session pass of 10, 20, or 30 skates all for great prices and skate whenever you like throughout the whole week. To see the latest price offers go to www.skatetheunit.com
To note... this is a project run by the local Methodist Circuit of Churches, where the aim is to provide a great skatepark for all in a safe environment.

PS... Some time around Christmas there will be an event at the Unit where we will be giving away prizes so make sure you check out www.skatetheunit.com regularly to know what’s happening.
