Copthorne Methodist Church (North Petherwin) was built in 1837 as a Wesleyan Association Chapel. In 1907 it linked with the Bible Christian Church and the Methodist New Connexion to form a 'United Methodist church. Later in 1932 it joined with the Wesleyan Church to form the Methodist church we know today.
