Launceston Refugee Support Group - Can you help?
The Launceston Refugee Support Group (LRSG) is made up of local people getting together to take action in support of refugees. The group has been formed by people affected by the desperate situation of refugees but also inspired by the success of the Bude Refugee Support Group.
The group’s aim is to work towards welcoming two Syrian families to Launceston, as part of the government’s pledge to resettle some of the most vulnerable Syrian refugees in the UK. Several families from Syria have already been settled successfully in Truro and Bude. Cornwall is taking a lead in showing compassion and hospitality.
Leaflets outlining the aims of the group and details of how you can donate are available to download here
. There is an option also to increase your giving at no cost through the Gift Aid scheme. Please take one and time to read about the work and consider if you are able to support this crucial work.
