Thank you Pamela
On Sunday 26th May at Polyphant Chapel Mrs Pamela Harris was presented with a certificate to mark her 50 years service of playing the organ for the chapel services.
What a lovely surprise I had during the morning service on May 26th to receive a certificate and bouquet of flowers to mark 50 years of playing the organ at Polyphant Methodist church. I was encouraged by two organists that have gone on: Mrs Mabel Rowe and Mr Stanley Martyn. I started playing the children’s hymn first and when the organist was not there any more, I just took their place. I really thank the Lord for giving me good heath.
On Songs of Praise, a few years ago, looking at the Junior Choir of the Year, I heard an adjudicator’s remarks saying that ‘If you have got music in your life then your have got ‘treasure’, so enjoy it; and nobody can take it away from you’. So I say ‘Thank you for the music, the hymns I’ve been playing. Thanks for all the joy they’re bringing. Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty? What would life be? So I say Thank you for the music, for giving it to me’. God bless you all.
We are a group with diverse origins in the Christian faith so there is a warm welcome for everyone to our Services regardless of their tradition.

Currently on the second Wednesday of each month 10 a.m. – 11.30 there a coffee morning with bring and buy table and a selection of books, cassettes ,jigsaws etc.to browse, borrow or buy.

They have had their last meeting for this year (2017) but will be restarting March 2018, (Contact Pat Thomasson 01566 86121).
